Psalms 75-77 -
We thank you, God, we thank you -- your name is our favorite word;  your mighty works are all we talk about.

You say, “I’m calling this meeting to order, I’m ready to set things right.  When the earth goes topsy turvy and nobody knows which end is up, I nail it all down, I put everything in its place again.  I say to the smart alects, ‘That’s enough,’ to the bullies, Not so fast.’”...

Do for God what you said you’d do -- he is, after all, your God...

I yell out to my God, I yell with all my might.  I yell at the top of my lungs.  He listens.  I found myself in trouble and went looking for my Lord; my life was an open wound that wouldn’t heal.

When friends said, “ Everything will turn out all right,” I didn’t believe a word they said.  I remember God--and shake my head.  I bow my head--then ring my hands. I’m awake all night --not a wink of sleep; I can’t even  say what’s bothering me.  I go over the days one by one, I ponder the years gone by.  I strum my lute all through the night, wondering how to get my life together...”Just my luck,” I said, “The High God goes out of business just the moment I need him.”

Once again I’ll go over what God has done, lay out on the table the ancient wonders.  I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished, and give a long loving look at your acts.  O God!  You’re way is holy! ... Hidden in the hands of Moses and Aaron, you led your people like a flock of sheep.

2  Timothy 3 -
Don’t be naive.  There are difficult times ahead.  As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self- promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, course, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderous, impulsively wild, savage, cynical,...

I yell out to my God, I yell with all my might.  I yell treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust and allergic to God.  They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people....

Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there is no getting around it...But don’t let that faze you.  Stick with what you learned and believe...

There is nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ...Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for those tasks God has for us.
