Psalms 68 - 69
Up with God!  Down with his enemies! When the righteous see God in action, they’ll laugh, they’ll sing, they’ll laugh and sing for joy....

Bless the Lord, day after day he carries us along...The whole choir blesses God, Like a fountain of praise, Israel blesses God... He gives power and might to his people!  O you, his people--bless God!

God, God save me!  I’m in over my head! Quicksand under me, swamp water over me, I’m going down for the third time. I’m hoarse from calling for help.  Bleary-eyed from watching the sky for God... Don’t let those who look to you for hope be discouraged by what happens to me,...Don’t let those out looking for you come to a dead end by following me...

I love you more than I can say.  Because I’m madly in love with you, they blame me for everything they dislike about you..  And me?  I pray.  God, it’s time for a break!  God, answer in love!  Answer with your sure salvation  Don’t look the other way, your servant can’t take it.  I’m in trouble.  Answer right now!...I’m hurt and in pain; give me space for healing and mountain air.

Let me shout God’s name with a praising song, let me tell his greatness in a prayer of thanks...For God listens to the poor.  He does not walk out on the wretched.

I Timothy 6 -
A devout life does bring wealth, but its the rich simplicity of being yourself before God.

Since we enter the world penniless and will leave penniless, if we have bread on the table and shoes on our feet, that’s enough...

But if it is only money these leaders are after, they’ll self-destruct in no time.  Lust of money brings trouble and nothing but trouble. Going down that path, some lose their footing in the faith completely and live to regret it bitterly ever after.

Pursue a righteous life--a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy.  Run hard and fast in faith...

Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow...

Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever imagine--to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous.  If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life....

Avoid the talk-show religion and the practiced confession of the so-called experts.  People caught up in a lot of talk can miss the whole point of faith.
