Day 329 of 2015

I Peter 4: 12 reminded us that:
Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump on the conclusion that God isn’t on the job.  Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced.  This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner....

So if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride.  Trust him.  He knows what he’s doing and he’ll keep on doing it.

How do you act when life gets ugly?...Why would God continue to repeat this theme of godly people suffering for their beliefs over and over again?  When life is really difficult, how do your actions reveal your true belief about God?

All of this sounds as though God is telling you to buck up and take whatever comes with a smile on your face.  But nothing could be further from the truth.  Remember Jeremiah and the cries of the Psalms.

God is compassionate....Find peace and strength in him.  Shad, Mesh and Abed didn’t walk into the roaring furnace on their own.  God was waiting for them in the midst of the fire.  Today, discover he is waiting for you there as well.
