Proverbs 13-15
Intelligent children listen to their parents....The good acquire a taste for helpful conversations...careful words make for a careful life...A good person hates false talk;...

A God-loyal life keeps you on track...a plain and simple life is a good life...wise men and women listen to each other’s counsel....steady diligence pays off...the teaching of the wise is a fountain of life...

A commonsense person lives good sense...souls who follow their hearts thrive,...

Become wise by walking with the wise...a good life gets passed on to the grandchildren...a refusal to     
correct is a refusal to love; love your child by disciplining them...an honest life shows respect for God...wise speech evokes nothing but respect...

The person who shuns the bitter moments of friends will be an outsider to their celebrations...A gracious person gets paid back in grace ...foolish dreamers live in a world of illusion; wise realists plant their feet on the ground...Hard work pays off; mere talk puts bread on the table.  

The mark of a good leader is loyal followers; leadership is nothing without a following.  Slowness to anger makes for deep understanding; a quick-tempered person stockpiles stupidity....

Lady Wisdom is at home in an understanding heart...God-devotion makes a country strong....

A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire...Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim...perspective words spread knowledge...

God can’t stand pious poses, but he delights in genuine prayers...a cheerful heart brings a smile to your face, a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.  An intelligent person is always eager to take in more truth;...

A simple life in the Fear-of-God is better than a rich life with a ton of headaches.  Better the bread crust shared in love than a slab of prime rib served in hate... 

A calm, cool spirit keeps the peace.... Congenial conversation--what a pleasure!  The right word at the right time---beautiful!!...A twinkle in the eye means joy in the heart, and good news makes you feel fit as a fiddle... 

An undisciplined, self-willed life is puny; an obedient, God-willed life is spacious.  Fear-of-God is a school in skilled living---first you learn humility, then you experience glory.

Matthew 25:1-25:30
God’s kingdom is like 10 young virgins...5 were silly and 5 were smart.  The smart virgins took jars of oil to feed their lamps...So stay alert.  You have no idea when he might  

It is also like a man going off on an extended trip. To one servant, he gave $5,000, to another $2,000 and to a third $1,000, depending on their abilities...The servant given $1,000 said..Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error.  I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money...The master was furious. “That’s a terrible way to live!  It’s criminal to live cautiously like that!   Take the $1,000 and give it to the one who risked the most.  And get rid of this “play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb.  Throw him out into utter darkness.
