WRC’s Children’s Ministries are about building a spiritual community that embraces individuality and encourages growth in faith. We strive to provide safe, positive environment for kids to have fun while learning God’s plan for their lives. It is our mission to open the hearts of our kids so they know God and grow to become like his Son, Jesus Christ. We know that the greatest impact on the heart of a child happens when the family and the church partner together. For this reason, our focus is on creating a Christian Community of children and adults who enjoy life together as a family and who are committed to Jesus Christ and to each other.
We have Children's Ministry programs available for children, newborns through sixth grade on Sunday mornings as well as special family events throughout the year.

“You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14
Nursery, 2s, 3s and 4s
Nursery Care is available beginning at 8:45 a.m. each Sunday.
In the nursery, children are introduced to the joyful worship of God using the Young Children and Worship curriculum.
Young Children and Worship was created to make a special place where children can come to encounter God; to be still with God and to listen to God. This program invites the youngest members of our congregation to begin experiencing the wonder and mystery of God.
In order to provide the safest environment for the youngest children of our church, the Nursery is staffed weekly with two adult attendants and parents are required to sign children in and sign out each week.
Pre-K to Grade 8
Older children begin the morning worshiping with their parents at either 9:00 a.m. in Genesis or 10:30 a.m. in our Traditional Worship service. After worshiping with parents for approximately 15 minutes, they are dismissed to their Sunday School classes.
Following Sunday School, the children (Pre-K through grade 3) are brought down to Heneveld Hall for dismissal at 10:00 a.m. Parents are required to sign their children out. Older children are dismissed from their classrooms.
Our Sunday school curricula keep the Reformed Church theology in mind.
The DWELL curriculum encourages kids to pause and wonder, imagine, and interact with different parts of God’s story.
The Kids Ministry in Action Team (K.M.A.T.) was created to help the kids learn about mission and discipleship. Any child who attends Sunday School can be a part of K.M.A.T. Throughout the year, the team completes mission projects that impact their own church community, surrounding communities and even communities around the world
